It’s true, we don’t often think of Cyprus as a vacation destination. And yet, the latest addition to the Stademos Hotels group in Cyprus has it all. Amara, a 207-room luxury resort in the coastal town of Limassol, focuses on well-being, with a spa by Raison d’Etre.
The hotel’s interior has been inspired by Cyprus’ complex heritage, with cultural influences and architectural details that recall the island’s Mediterranean landscape. Large bay windows in the bedrooms and suites let in an abundance of natural light. The decor features soft, sandy tones and blue accents.
The spa, developed by Raison d’Etre (a renowned spa design agency), offers a host of Carita and Organic Pharmacy treatments. Spa services also include a laconium, caldarium, tepidarium and frigidarium, all inspired by ancient Roman baths. The hotel also has a personal trainer and a qualified nutritionist.
“It’s an exciting time to open Amara’s doors given the recent increase in investment in luxury hotels and real estate in Limassol,” said general manager Xavier Jolivet. “The city has seen a surge of development in recent years, including the completion of the new marina, and multiple high-end hotel openings, which will help to establish Limassol as a luxury European beach destination.”
