The founders of Cottonmill have traveled the world to concoct a skilful blend of cutting-edge technology and expert treatments at this spa housed within the Sopwell House Hotel. Their idea: to become a global benchmark in the world of spas. Their method: a renovation at the exorbitant cost of 14 million pounds !
The Cottonmill’s facilities include an indoor pool, two vitality pools, a high-tech gym, a studio for private lessons and, of course, a sauna and steam room. The spa features bright, spacious rooms, sophisticated lighting and custom-made furniture. The décor palette is warm, with natural tones complemented by the turquoise accents of the marble.
At the heart of the spa is a garden dedicated to relaxation. The outdoor area also features three Jacuzzis and a multi-sensory shower.
The “Whisper” room serves as another relaxation area, with beds overlooking the spa garden. This floor also features three heated marble loungers, a panoramic sauna, as well as a salt steam room and an aromatic steam room.
Cottonmill also has its own “Deep Relaxation Room”, a cocooning experience based on traditional Chinese medicine. For those who like to be massaged by water, a horizontal Vichy shower is available.
The spa also features multi-sensory showers including a rain shower that simulates a thunderstorm and a luxury garden shower, Sensory Sky, which simulates the sensation of showering in the open air. We’re curious to see how it turns out!
Other spa facilities include a hair, make-up and manicure salon, a lounge dedicated to guest relaxation and the spa’s restaurant, the Pantry.
