Destination Crete

Elounda Beach lies to the northeast of the sublime island of Crete, 2 km from the pretty village of Elounda. Built in the style of a traditional village, the hotel boasts a wealth of facilities, including numerous boutiques, a variety of restaurants, sports facilities and even a traditional art museum. From morning to night, there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained with sports activities, organized excursions and even shows in the outdoor amphitheatre.

Bordering the coastline, its view of Mirabello Bay is sensational. Surrounded by flamboyant gardens, it plunges guests into a bluish bubble of relaxation. As well as being one of the Leading Hotels of the World, the hotel has won several World Travel Awards, most recently in 2020.

Whether you plan to arrive in Heraklion by plane or by boat, it will take you around 45 minutes to reach the hotel by car. For a quicker trip, you can reach the port of Aghios Nikolaos (just 10 minutes from the resort).

Rooms for every taste

Although blue and white are the flagship colors of Elounda Beach, not all accommodations have the same decorative identity. Most rooms, suites and bungalows are decorated in a classic nautical style, with laminated wood and touches of blue dominating. While higher-category accommodations such as Presidential Bungalow Suites and Yachting Villas feature highly modernized spaces with light colors and elegant lines.

Bungalows and suites are specially designed for family stays, with two distinctive bathrooms. The accommodations are all different, some with a pool shared with two other bungalows, a private pool, a whirlpool or a private fitness room. Our favorite detail: a glass ceiling just above the Whirlpool to combine relaxation and stargazing!

Espace Vitalité Chenot

Elounda Beach is home to the Espace Vitalité Chenot, which applies the Chenot method, recognized worldwide for its concept of combining traditional medicinal practices with the latest scientific advances to unite body and mind. The many treatments offered by the Chenot method focus on relaxation, with massages and skin treatments adapted to each individual’s body.

The wellness center consists of several separate areas dedicated to different practices.

Aesthetic treatments

The aim here is to detoxify, rejuvenate and beautify your body, from head to toe.

Medicinal care

These are essentially bioenergetic or acupuncture-based treatments. Using technological equipment, bioelectric variations in your skin are analyzed and then stimulated.

Private or group lessons, anything is possible. You can also be coached in several physical activities, allowing you to rebalance with the help of experts.

Hydro-biological care

The circulatory and lymphatic systems are the focus of attention. They are stimulated by variations in water temperature and pressure. These invigorating treatments include seaweed, plant extracts and essential oils.

The resort’s fitness facilities include an outdoor saltwater swimming pool, a Fitness Center with sauna and steam room, five tennis courts, a basketball and beach volleyball court, as well as areas for soccer, badminton, table tennis and more.

Intense wellness programs

The wellness area has created several wellness programs, each focusing on a specific objective: health, detox, anti-stress, rejuvenation and sculpting. They all combine a panoply of different techniques such as massage, skin care and herbal therapies.

They are designed to last from three to seven days, and don’t skimp on the number of treatments. Take the Détox Intense program, for example : 33 treatments, including nine different ones over a three-day period. That’s it, goodbye toxins!

As an integral part of the Chenot philosophy, the Bio-light Menu is also available. The idea is to analyze and create a menu program adapted to your lifestyle and your body’s needs. The idea is to eat different types of food according to their glycemic index and to follow the chrono-diet. You’ll learn how to select the best foods for you. You’ll also receive tips on how to cook them properly and present them elegantly on your plate.

No fewer than a dozen restaurants are on hand to delight the taste buds of Elounda Beach guests. Whether you prefer a relaxed atmosphere after a jump in the water or a candlelit dinner, several restaurants serve tasty local cuisine based on Greek and Cretan culinary traditions. Others offer dishes from Italy and Japan, and even menus accompanied by shisha.

The hotel’s main restaurant, Aretoussa, has every intention of wowing its guests: between its open kitchen and panoramic view, your eyes will be as delighted as your appetite.

For more gourmet dining, the Michelin-starred restaurant named after the God of Wine, Dionysus, offers contemporary Mediterranean flavors. Speaking of wine, the Wine Cellar boasts a wine list of 1100 different labels. Wine tastings and private dinners are organized here.
