Kayaam House: privacy in Tangalle
The road winds… Three hours after leaving Colombo, in Tangalle, Kayaam House appears between golden beaches, coconut palms and secret coves. This part of Sri Lanka is still undiscovered and peaceful, and to reach the hotel, the Southern Highway provides easy access to this haven far from the usual tourist trails. This region is also rich in cultural treasures such as the rock temples of Mulkirigala and the sanctuaries of Wewurukannala.
As you’ll see, the Kayaam House buildings interact with their surroundings. Clean lines, natural materials, minimalist design inspired by Geoffrey Bawa – legendary Sri Lankan architect. Each building respects the local ecosystem, creating continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces. Rolling lawns slope gently down to the ocean, while the murmur of the waves sings in your ears. The place exudes serenity… Welcome to Kayaam House!
In the comfort of your seafront suite
With just six rooms, two suites and a residence, Kayaam House is intimate and special. From the cocooning 40 m² to the generous 75 m² suite, each space is in dialogue with nature: rooms and suites facing the ocean, those with terraces and gardens, or others with private Jacuzzi. Some offer a separate living room and a large mezzanine.
In terms of decoration, the aesthetic emphasis is on relaxation. Natural materials, soft colors and a clean, uncluttered overall design. Each room combines a minimalist style with warm touches, creating a cocoon conducive to relaxation and well-being.
Ayurveda: the backbone of well-being at Kayaam House
Ayurveda is an age-old holistic science, deeply rooted in Indian tradition. More than just a medical approach, it is a philosophy of life that considers the human being as a whole. At Kayaam House, this ancient wisdom becomes the common thread running through every wellness experience. Ayurveda’s strength lies in its ability to recognize the uniqueness of each individual. Unlike standardized methods, it asserts that each person has a unique energetic constitution, a singular balance between body, mind and environment. This vision translates into totally personalized treatments.
Prevention is at the heart of this medicine. Rather than waiting for symptoms to appear, Ayurveda aims to maintain a state of harmony and wholeness. At Kayaam House, this philosophy is expressed through six tailor-made programs, designed to meet the specific needs of each traveler in search of well-being.
