Near marvellous Sicilian sites
Rocco Forte Verdura Resort is one of the best hotels in Sicily. It is particularly popular for its magnificent Kyle Philipps-designed golf course, which hosts two championships each year, and for its 4,000 m² spa. In fact, it’s the flagship spa of the elegant Italian hotel chain Rocco Forte. Proud of its origins, this restaurant showcases the culture of Italy: elegance is the order of the day, and the cuisine is highly aromatic. Surrounded by olive and orange trees, the setting is idyllic.
The Verdura Resort is located in Sciatta, in the western part of the island. To get there, Palermo and Trapani airports are each about 1h20 away by car. The hotel’s location, not far from some of Sicily’s finest sites, makes it easy to visit the archeological site of Agrigento, or the stunning, pure-white cliffs of “La Scala dei Turchi”, all within a day’s drive. The best sunsets on the island can be admired over the Marsala salt flats, a real treat!

The Verdura Spa is Rocco Forte’s favorite, with 4,000 m² of wellness space where relaxation is king. The spa has chosen to focus primarily on thalassotherapy, with four dedicated pools. There are also two steam rooms and various saunas (Finnish and infrared).
Another feature of this grandiose spa is that all treatments are carried out by leading wellness specialists, such as Dr. G. B. B., and Dr. P. S. C., who are also experts in their field. Mosaraf Ali, world-renowned for his expertise in Ayurveda, Yoga and Marma therapy, among others. The spa combines traditional medicine and modern techniques, with osteopaths, nutritionists and holistic and sports coaches. Always favoring local products, the spa also uses cosmetics made from the finest natural Sicilian products, such as Irene Forte products, created by the founder’s daughter.

The Rocco Forte Verdura Resort’s wellness programs are designed to enhance well-being from a variety of perspectives. The Healthy Lifestyle, Fit and Relax programs require a minimum duration of 6 days, allowing the body and mind to absorb all the benefits of the proposed activities and treatments. They include several spa treatments, with different therapies, a daily thalassotherapy and sauna session, and consultations with wellness specialists. The Fit and Healthy Lifestyle programs also include personalized menus.
Following the same pattern, a three-day express program is also designed to help you learn to give up bad habits and succeed in building a balanced, multidimensional routine.
For an immersive stay, focusing more on the holistic side of some of the discomforts in your life, we recommend the 10-day program specially guided by Dr. Ali. The program includes daily yoga classes, evening meditations, spa treatments, massage of your marmas (energy points) and personalized menus. Golfers – or apprentice golfers – also have their own program. Lasting one, four or six days, it consists of a posture analysis and osteopathic sessions. Personalized treatments, daily thalassotherapy and infrared sauna sessions and customized technique courses are also part of the package.

You can simply work out in the fully-equipped gym, or take advantage of the sunny weather to play a game of tennis or soccer, or learn the best techniques for playing golf.
