Sukhavati: A wellness paradise in the village of Mengwi

Located in the tranquil village of Mengwi, South Bali, Sukhavati Ayurvedic Retreat & Wellness Spa is ideally situated for a peaceful holistic retreat. The hotel’s architecture is inspired by Balinese traditions. You’ll find thatched roofs, hand-carved woodwork and lush landscaped gardens. Inside, the atmosphere is both elegant and soothing. You’ll enjoy comfortable living spaces decorated with care, for a warm and welcoming ambience.

Luxurious accommodations combining Balinese tradition and modernity

Sukhavati offers a small selection of luxurious accommodations designed to provide superior comfort and total privacy to its guests. We offer eight villas, four with private pools. Each accommodation is tastefully decorated in Balinese style, blending modern and traditional elements: marble floors, thatched roofs, top-of-the-range amenities. You can look out over the tropical gardens or enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding area, depending on the villa you choose. Each villa also features a king-size bed and a private balcony.

One-bedroom villas

The one-bedroom villas at Sukhavati, including Villa Samanthabha, Villa Tara Blanche, Villa Mandjoushri and Villa Vajrapani, offer a unique blend of Balinese comfort and authenticity. Each villa is furnished with traditional Balinese furniture. Some villas include outdoor bathrooms, allowing you to connect fully with nature. What’s more, Villa Terre Blanche is located right next to the open-air Ganesha Yoga pavilion, convenient for your morning yoga sessions!

One or two-bedroom villas with private pool

Next, villas with private pools promise an extra experience of luxury. Among these, the one-bedroom Villa Chintanami, Villa Amitabha and Villa Maitreya boast luxurious appointments and sparkling private pools. These spaces are designed to offer total privacy, with tropical gardens and sunny open-air areas.

The two-bedroom Saraswati villa is ideal for families or groups. This villa features separate outdoor bathrooms, as well as a communal open-air lounge overlooking a private infinity pool and lush gardens.

Sukhavati offers daily yoga and meditation sessions in an enchanting setting. The Ganesha Pavilion welcomes you to the open air for your yoga sessions overlooking rice paddies and verdant jungle. Classes are suitable for all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners. They are designed to promote relaxation, concentration and self-awareness. And if yoga isn’t your thing, you might be interested in a group meditation session with our qualified staff!

The River Spa Treatment Pavilions

Qualified Ayurvedic therapists offer a variety of therapeutic massages designed to relax muscles, soothe the mind and restore the body’s energetic balance. Traditional techniques such as Abhyanga, Shirodhara and Panchakarma are used to promote healing and well-being.

Nestled on the estate’s lowest level, the River Spa treatment pavilions offer soothing views of the tranquil Penet River. As soon as you arrive at the spa reception, the friendly staff will greet you with a cup of herbal tea. This is where your wellness journey begins. Next, the team escorts you to your own private treatment pavilion. Relax in one of the three pavilions, enjoying a massage while listening to the gentle murmur of the river and the chirping of the birds. Alternatively, relax on a daybed on the River Deck, enjoy a fresh fruit juice and take in the panoramic view of the tropical jungle. Enjoy the feeling of absolute relaxation and silence…

Ayurvedic Center and Vedic Library

Finally, during your stay, take advantage of individual consultations with Ayurvedic doctor Dr. Komang Sudarmi at the Ayurvedic Center. The center is equipped with a doctor’s office for health consultations and a full pharmacy stocked with all natural Ayurvedic herbs and medicines. Then, next to the Ganesha Yoga pavilion, the Vedic library is brimming with Ayurvedic books and knowledge. We encourage you to take advantage of this space to read and relax, or to borrow books during your stay.
